Great prints start with great files. Every Ninja POD product is printed with 9-color DTF for bright colors, smooth gradients and sharp detail, but the print can only be as good as the art you upload. Here’s what to do, and what to avoid.
✅ Do
1. Upload A High-Resolution PNG
Use a PNG that is 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. A small or low-resolution image stretched to fit comes out with fuzzy edges and lost detail.
2. Remove The Background
Give your PNG a transparent background. Anything left in the file, including a white or colored box behind your design, gets printed. Use our background removal tools in the Design Studio to clean it up!
3. Keep It Readable
Tiny text and very thin lines can get lost in print, especially on textured fabrics. Keep text large and clean, and simplify fine details when you can.
4. Keep Your Art Inside The Print Area
Place your whole design inside the print area in the Design Studio. Art outside the print area may print unexpectedly, or your order may be canceled.
5. Check Your Proof
The Design Studio is your proof. We print exactly what you upload and place there, so check your art, size and placement before you save your design.

1. Don’t Use Fades Or Transparency
We can’t print fades or semi-transparent areas. Use solid shapes.
2. Don’t Use Design Notes To Edit Your Artwork
Design Notes are only for specific size or placement instructions. They are not for making edits to your artwork, and an order with edit requests may print with undesired results or be canceled.
3. Don’t Upload Screenshots Or Saved Images
Images saved from social media or websites are compressed, and every re-save makes the art muddier. Always start from the original file.
4. Don’t Break Our Content Standards
Every design must follow our Content Standards.
Inside Neck Tags
Neck tags print only what you design. We do not add material, country of origin, care instructions or sizes, so include anything you need in your tag artwork. For tag tips, see 3 Quick Tips for Perfect Inside Neck Tags.
Good To Know
- We don’t offer art services. If your artwork needs a human touch, we recommend hiring a designer through Fiverr.
- We print standard DTF only. We do not offer specialty DTF (like glitter or puff), UV DTF, embroidery or patches at this time.
Who Owns Your Artwork?
You do. You keep ownership of every design you upload, and you give us permission to use it to print and ship your orders and to show you how your products will look.
